Job description
Overview

Scraptoft Valley Primary School require a Permanent Cleaner L1 to join our team. The role involves 11 hours and 15 minutes per week (Monday to Friday: 3:15pm - 5:30pm) for 38 term weeks per year, plus 45 hours during the holiday by prior arrangement. Pay is Grade 1 SCP 2 – £24,413 per annum pro‑rata (£6,899 per annum). We recommend that if you currently claim benefits, you check how this post would affect your claim before you apply. Responsibilities

Major Objectives: These will include, as appropriate, those that reflect key corporate priorities, for example, Cultural Diversity, Social Justice, Environmental Quality and Economic Prosperity.

  • Use the correct equipment for each specific cleaning task.
  • Follow the appropriate instructions and COSHH regulations when using cleaning materials.
  • Wear the appropriate clothing, shoes, gloves, etc. for the tasks involved.
  • Follow and be aware of responsibilities for Health & Safety measures designed to protect self, other staff and users of the premises.
  • Ensure that windows and doors are closed when work is finished.
  • Provide refreshments for pre-arranged meetings where appropriate.
  • Implement and promote Leicester City Council's policies and procedures.
Qualifications

  • Ability to follow COSHH regulations and health & safety instructions.
