School Cleaner Opportunity – Chorlton, Manchester

We are seeking dedicated and reliable School Cleaners to join our team in Chorlton, Manchester, on a permanent basis. This is a reliable, part‑time position that offers consistent hours.

• Job Title: School Cleaner / Cleaning Operative
• Location: Chorlton, Manchester
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
• Start Date: Early New Year (e.g., January 2026)

Working Hours & Shift Options

We have two main shift patterns available. Please clearly state your preference when applying.

• Option 1: Afternoon Shift
  • Monday to Thursday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM – 15 hours – Key Holder: None
  • Friday: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Option 2: Morning Shift
  • Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM – 15 hours – Required (Responsible for opening the premises)

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic learning environment for students and staff.
• Clean and sanitise classrooms, offices and communal areas (halls, staff rooms).
• Clean and restock restroom facilities.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and mop hard floors.
• Empty bins and manage waste disposal.
• Morning Shift Specific – secure opening of the school premises.
• Adhere strictly to cleaning schedules and health and safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality.
• Understanding of the importance of hygiene standards within a school environment.
• Previous professional cleaning experience desirable, though full training will be provided.
• Mandatory – successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check due to the nature of working within a school.
