Job description

The role of the Domestic Assistant is to undertake a range of cleaning duties to a high standard throughout the home.,

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home, especially within the kitchen and storage areas
• Ensuring all work surfaces and floor areas are clean and managed
• Hoovering, washing, polishing etc.in all areas, including the residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas
• Identifying future regular cleaning and maintenance needs
• Identifying future resources and equipment needed for the home
• Operating within all Company policies and procedures
• Demonstrating our values
• Getting to know the people we support and enabling them to live a safe, happy and fulfilling life through developing open, honest and considerate relationships
• Organised and willing to learn

Location and Working Environment

Where will you work? Compton House, near Winchester, is an eleven-bedroom residential home for residents of varied ages with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those who are non-verbal. Residents are supported with 24-hour staff and our own in-house Positive Behaviour Support Team. Like other Choice Care homes, Compton House offers structured activity programmes to support personal development, including 'LD Club', 'Sensory for All' and cycling, designed to maximise independence and enable everyone to achieve individual goals at their own pace. The home has its own transport for local travel to the shops and leisure centre, as well as for trips further afield.
