More about your role

You are responsible for effectively cleaning office areas using the correct materials and equipment, following the schedule and standards set by the cleaning supervisor and building coordinator. Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are followed in handling and storing cleaning materials and machinery. Report any areas for improvement to the supervisor or management and communicate any concerns promptly. Maintain a visible presence on-site, with your ID badge always visible. Contribute to the development of the cleaning schedule, resolve Health & Safety breaches, and engage in required training and compliance activities. Report larger items of rubbish to the appropriate personnel and maintain high cleaning standards. Work collaboratively with the cleaning supervisor and team to ensure a clean, safe environment. At Places for People, we prioritise our dedication to safer recruitment. Therefore, a basic DBS check is mandatory for this position.

Although the base location of this role is Norwich, you will be required to travel to sites in the surrounding areas.

Essential Criteria

More about you

You should have good timekeeping and cleaning experience, with the ability to communicate and work effectively with others to provide excellent customer and cleaning services. Awareness of COSHH and Health & Safety is essential, as is the ability to work well with the cleaning team. You should be able to deliver a high-quality cleaning service. Preferred qualifications include previous experience in a similar cleaning role, knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and compliance issues related to cleaning products, and an understanding of COSHH regulations and the use of PPE.
