Responsibilities
- Ensure cleaning schedules are strictly adhered to.
- Ensure factory floors and gangways are cleaned when required and the battery is charged and maintained on the floor washing machine.
- Ensure floors are hoovered, swept, and mopped when required.
- All internal and external waste bins are emptied daily and the area around them is kept clean and tidy.
- Empty the waste storage containers into the appropriate disposal area.
- Regularly clean internal and external windows, doors, and furnishings.
- Replenish stocks of soaps and paper products and notify when stock levels need replenishing.
- Keep all external areas clean and tidy, including litter picking, weeding, emptying cigarette butt containers, and sweeping up debris.
- Use cleaning products in compliance with COSHH data.
- Carry out weekly LEV pre‑filter cleans when required.
- Create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Report any concerns relating to cleaning, health, safety and/or welfare to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager.
- Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
- Undertake training for the role where required.
- Support team members with other tasks as and when necessary.
- Carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant when required.
Essential Requirements
- Ability to undertake general cleaning to a high standard.
- Basic understanding of COSHH with respect to cleaning chemicals.
- Experience of manual handling.
- Previous experience in the same or similar role.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
Desirable Requirements
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
