A regional hospice organization in Framingham Earl seeks a dedicated Cleaner to maintain high hygiene standards in their facility. Join our team at East Anglia Childrens Hospices (EACH) and make a real difference.We are looking for a dedicated Cleaner to provide an efficient, high-quality housekeeping at our purpose built hospice, The Nook, outside Norwich.This is a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, young people, and their families.

Note: internally known as 'Housekeeper'

Working Pattern:

22.5 hours per week, working 3 days over a 7 day working week

* Includes working every other weekend on a rota basis *

£24,000 FTE per annum (£12.37 per hour) + circa £2,000 per annum in weekend enhancements based on working 2 out or 4 weekends, rates as below:

+ 30% Saturdays& Evenings

+ 60% Sundays& Bank Holidays

Main duties of the job
  • Carry out cleaning duties in line with hospice standards.
  • Wash, dry, and iron clothes, bed linen, towels, and soft furnishings.
  • Maintain safe storage and use of cleaning materials in accordance with COSHH regulations.
  • Work as part of a team providing 7-day cover.

Job responsibilities
  • Carry out cleaning duties as laid down in the Hospice cleaning schedule, and as instructed by the Facilities Site Manager, Care Manager or Service Manager.
  • Wash, dry and iron clothes, bed linen, towels and soft furnishings using the hospice laundry.
  • Ensure that all cleaning materials are stored as directed.
  • Understand C.O.S.H.H. Regulations, and ensure that only the cleaning products listed are used.
  • Inform the Facilities Site Manager when stocks of cleaning materials are running low.
  • Liaise with the Facilities Site Manager to ensure that Department of Health guidelines on cleaning standards are adhered to.
  • All duties are shared on a rota basis with other members of the Housekeeping team, providing 7 day cover.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
