A primary special school in Leek is seeking a Full Time Class Teacher on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage primary aged children, especially those with special educational needs. Key responsibilities include lesson planning, classroom management, and fostering relationships with families. The position offers a competitive salary and opportunities for professional development.
Springfield School is a generic primary Special School, providing education for children with a range of needs. The school has particular expertise in working with children who have severe leaning difficulties including those with communication difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and complex needs and those with moderate learning difficulties. The school provides education to over 65 children aged between 4 and 11.
Springfield School is part of the Manor Hall Academy Trust and forms a Federation with The Meadows School, a generic Special School.
We are looking for an inspiring and imaginative teacher who is able to adapt their style of teaching to ensure that learning is fun, practical and creative. The successful candidates would need to be able to demonstrate they can meet the needs of primary aged children.
