Shift pattern:Monday - Friday | shift start 4am/5am, 10 hrs shift

Smart Solutions is currently recruiting a Class 2 Trade Waste Driver for our client based in Quarrington NG34. Our client is a leader in waste management services.

As Class 2 Trade Waste Driver you will collect and transport commercial waste using our modern fleet. The right candidate must have a strong route knowledge of the Midlands region and commitment to sustainability, you'll thrive in a role that balances independence with team collaboration.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drive and operate a Class 2 (Category C) HGV to collect trade waste
• Facilitate collection of wheeled bin containers
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and minimise environmental impact
• Use bin-lifting equipment and follow pre-planned routes
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety and waste handling regulations
• Provide professional and courteous customer service
• Report any issues, delays, or incidents promptly

Person Specification:

• Must have the legal right to work in the UK
• Able to meet the essential physical requirements of the role including lifting and carrying
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
• Good team player and communicator
• Able to perform various tasks including moving bulky items and loading the vehicle outside in all weather conditions
