Job description

Overview

Are you a Class 2 HGV Driver looking for ongoing or permanent work? Do you enjoy sleeping out and being away from home? Are you happy to work alongside a driver’s mate?

If so, Driver Hire Leeds East may have the work for you.

We are currently recruiting 3 x Class 2 HGV Drivers to work for our client based in Sherburn LS25.

As a Class 2 Customer Delivery Driver you will be required to work as part of a 2 person team to deliver kitchen units across the UK to customers’ home addresses.

As such you will be required to handball the kitchen units from the truck to the customers’ home. You will be assisted with a driver’s mate to offload.

Days can be between 10-12 hours per day, with an expected 45 hours per week.

Shift: 4 days - Thursday - Sunday (3 Nights out required) or Monday to Thursday (3 Nights out required)

Pay: £17.00 per hour for first 40 hours (£35,360 per annum) + £22.61 Overtime rate + Night out allowance of at least £87.00 per week (£4,176) = £39,536 + Overtime.

Nights out Pay structure: £25.00 for 1st night, £50.00 allowance for second night, 3rd night option to sleep in hotel room with night out allowance.

Requirements

• CAT C or above driving entitlement
• You must be able to stay out from home Thursday to Sunday.
• Have at least 12 months driving experience in a 7.5tonne or above vehicle
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence
• We do not accept any T99 endorsements or Drink or Drug endorsements
• You must be able to lift kitchen units
• Happy to work with a Drivers mate
