Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Claims Broker to join our team in the UK insurance market. The role involves managing and facilitating the claims process for clients, ensuring efficient resolution, and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the insurance industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.

How you'll make an impact
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the claims process, providing guidance and support.
  • Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, and other third parties to ensure timely and fair settlement of claims.
  • Review and analyze policy terms and conditions to determine coverage and advise clients accordingly.
  • Proactively manage claims from notification to resolution, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurers on behalf of clients, advocating for their best interests.
  • Maintain detailed records of claims activity and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on the status of their claims and address any concerns or queries.
  • Identify trends or recurring issues in claims and provide feedback to internal teams to improve risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with account executives and other internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and market trends to provide informed advice to clients.
About you
  • Proven experience in claims handling or broking within the UK insurance market.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, policy wordings, and claims processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using claims management systems and other relevant software.
  • Understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements in the UK insurance industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional qualifications such as Cert CII or Dip CII (or working towards them) are highly desirable.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex claims scenarios effectively.
