Responsibilities
- Support the creation of detailed civil engineering designs for a range of large scale commercial and residential projects, ensuring adherence to client requirements.
- Use industry-specific CAD and civil engineering software tools and resources to create established designs, drawings, layouts, and finer technical elements.
- Provide ongoing assistance with the production of pavement design, utility coordination, and earthworks modelling designs, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Collate technical documentation, ensuring all data is up to date, whilst providing support with design reports, regulatory validations, and planning submissions.
- Work alongside internal and external project parties, including clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project professionals, ensuring alignment with designs and plans.
- Attend site visits and inspections, design reviews, and feasibility studies, whilst providing technical insight and ensuring effective issue and query resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (HNC or HND) in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, ideally with a Chartered Engineer status, or working towards attaining one.
- Previous experience producing intricate design works for residential and commercial projects, at a large scale, as a Civil Technician or Engineer.
- Strong proficiency with industry-specific software tools, ideally InfoDrainage and Civils3D (training can be provided), with an understanding of CAD systems.
- Significant acknowledgement of civil engineering design practices and principles, in line with industry standards, regulations, and codes.
- Proficient organisational, communication, and collaboration skills, with a strong attention to detail and an ability to effectively manage several ongoing tasks.
