We are seeking a motivated Civil Project Engineer to join a growing civil engineering consultancy, working across highways and drainage projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with UK-based design experience to develop their career within a supportive, multi-office team.
Role Overview - Civil Project Engineer
As a Civil Project Engineer, you will:
- Work alongside Graduate Engineers, Technicians, Project Engineers, Chartered Engineers, and Directors across multiple offices.
- Manage multiple highways and drainage projects simultaneously, ensuring quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
- Produce detailed calculations, sketches, and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Site3D, and Causeway Flow (or equivalent).
- Follow design standards including CIRIA guides, BRE Digest, BS EN 752, and adoptable standards S278, S38, S104.
- Conduct site visits to verify construction compliance and prepare specifications and technical reports.
- Support Directors in improving design services and operational efficiency.
About You - Civil Project Engineer Profile
- Minimum 3 years' UK-based highways and drainage design experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Site3D, Causeway Flow or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of adoptable highways and drainage standards (S278, S38, S104).
- Commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
- Confident communicator, capable of consulting with clients and project teams.
- Self-motivated, driven, and committed to continuous learning.
Desirable
- Working towards Chartered status.
- Project management and leadership experience.
