Overview

My client, a highly-respected, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Civil Engineer with a focus on Drainage and Infrastructure to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, near the lively, culturally-diverse, historically-significant city of Liverpool.

Essential Criteria
  • A Degree (or equivalent qualifications) in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrable experience of having worked in a design-based role, specifically in a consultancy setting
  • Experience of having produced drainage strategies and worked on drainage design, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
  • Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S38, S278, S104, S106, etc.)
  • Competent in the use of InfoWorks Civils 3D, Revit, InfoDrainage, and similar software packages
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to have the following:

  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing
  • Strong technical skills, and an analytical mindset
  • Some knowledge of flood risk and mitigation
Responsibilities
  • Contributing to a number of projects, developing drainage strategies and working with other elements of infrastructure
  • Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard and within given timeframes and budgetary restrictions
  • Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
  • Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models
  • Liaising with a range of stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
  • Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
  • Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations
  • Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
