We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join a progressive civil engineering consultancy. You will work on a variety of civil and housing projects, supporting the design, planning, and delivery of infrastructure schemes while developing your professional skills.

Role Overview - Civil Engineer

As a Civil Engineer, you will:

  • Assist as Project or Assistant Project Engineer on small to medium-scale civil and housing projects.
  • Prepare and check road and drainage design calculations using PDS, WINDES, or equivalent software.
  • Contribute to Flood Risk Assessments (Phase 1 & 2) and water main designs for submission to Scottish Water.
  • Monitor project budgets and programmes, ensuring quality of drawings and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate approvals with regulators and liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals.
  • Conduct civil infrastructure surveys and prepare technical reports.
  • Support site inspections, reviewing contractor drawings, design proposals, and method statements for compliance.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff, providing guidance on technical matters.
  • Undertake risk assessments and assist in providing Principal Designer services under CDM regulations.
About You - Civil Engineer Profile
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in roads, drainage, and civil infrastructure design.
  • Skilled in PDS, WINDES, or similar design software.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
