Civil Engineer Drainage Infrastructure & Flood Risk

Remote (UK-based)

An established and growing civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of development-led projects across the UK with a strong technical focus on drainage infrastructure flood risk and earthworks design.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions supporting projects from feasibility through to detailed design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design of drainage and infrastructure solutions for residential and commercial developments
  • Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments Drainage Strategies and supporting technical reports
  • Earthworks design including levels strategies and cut & fill assessments
  • Production of technical drawings and designs using AutoCAD and drainage design software
  • Liaising with internal teams clients and external stakeholders to deliver compliant and efficient solutions
  • Supporting planning applications and responding to technical queries where required
Candidate Profile
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in drainage infrastructure and flood risk design within a consultancy environment
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and drainage software such as MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
  • Understanding of UK planning and design standards
  • Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
