Job description
Overview

We have an exciting new opportunity as a Design Engineer (Civils) in our waste networks design team. In this role, you'll be undertaking design on a wide range of wastewater infrastructure projects as part of our AMP8 WINEP programme. You will progress feasibility into Outline Design, developing innovative technical design solutions and specifications to support project delivery. You will own the design from start to finish and contribute to our capital investment process. The role is based in Coventry.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake initial feasibility evaluation for AMP8 CSO projects.
  • Progress projects into Outline Design and develop innovative technical design solutions and specifications to support delivery.
  • Own the design from start to finish and contribute to the capital investment process.
  • Work with a team of design engineers and hydraulic modellers to deliver project solutions within programme, budget, and quality standards.
Qualifications and skills
  • Knowledge of early-stage feasibility work and experience producing designs and specifications for wastewater projects.
  • A flair for innovation in design and the ability to shape creative and effective solutions.
  • Civils background essential; experience as a designer under CDM regulations.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic modelling packages and their limitations desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across internal and external partners.
  • Forward-thinking and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to teamwork and delivering high-quality work.
