Overview

Prospero Health and Social Care is currently recruiting experienced staff for floating support for Children in the Wakefield and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
  • Promote independence and provide a positive home environment for children, in line with local authority care plans.
  • Be a role model and support children in daily activities to improve their wellbeing.
  • Face new challenges daily with a can-do attitude and willingness to go above and beyond for the children in care.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • 12 months paid experience within the health and social care sector
  • Previous experience in a support worker or youth work role
  • Flexible around travel arrangements and able to work flexibly with good availability
  • Resilient and empathetic with a strong commitment to helping vulnerable young people
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (desirable but not essential)
  • Social Care registered
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
Experience
  • Children and Young People Support: 1 year (required)
  • Experience taking children into the community
Work Details
