Role Overview:
As a Children Support Worker, you will provide care and support to children and young people with diverse needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, mental health challenges, and emotional or behavioral difficulties. You will ensure they feel safe, valued, and supported while promoting their development and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Support children with daily routines, education, and social activities.
• Assist with personal care, where necessary, ensuring dignity and respect.
• Help children develop life skills and encourage independence.
• Manage challenging behavior with patience and understanding.
• Work closely with families, colleagues, and other professionals to provide consistent support.
• Maintain accurate records and follow care plans.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar support or care role is desirable but not essential.
• A passion for supporting and empowering children and young people.
• Strong communication, patience, and empathy.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care) are a plus but not mandatory.
