A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Children's Social Worker for a Children in Need Team in Stoke on Trent. Qualifications

  • Conduct home visits every 6 weeks to ensure children's needs are met.
  • Attend IPCP meetings for ongoing discussions.

Overview

We are looking for a Children's Social Worker to join a Children in Need Team within Stoke on Trent.

This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post permanent qualified experience.

Responsibilities
  • This team works collaboratively the children and their families to better understand type of support that they require to live safely and happily.
  • The team ensure plans are made for the children and the families and reviews have taken place every 12 weeks.
  • Social workers are required to visit the homes every 6 weeks, this is essential in order to be able to make the best decisions for the children's need.
  • The team will also attend IPCP meetings.
About you / Qualifications

A degree within Social Work (Degree, DipSW, CQSW) with a minimum of 3 years\' permanent experience is required for this post. The ability to complete court work and protect the children is essential in this role. Extensive assessment work, long term work and CP experience is part of the role. A valid and clean driving license and car is essential.
