We’re Hiring – Residential Support Workers (Children’s Services)

Social Care Recruitment are seeking compassionate, resilient and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our team supporting children and young people aged 8–17 with learning disabilities and emotional / behavioural needs.

We have day shifts, night shifts or a combination of both available — whatever works best for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent emotional, practical and behavioural support
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing and positive environment
  • Promote independence through structured routines and life skills coaching
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
  • Support individuals with challenging behaviours, trauma and complex needs
  • Participate in in-house and community-based activities
  • Work collaboratively as part of a committed, child-focused team
  • Follow safeguarding principles and Children’s Home Regulations (Ofsted)
What We’re Looking For
  • Full-time availability (Essential)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (Essential)
  • Minimum 6 months’ UK social care experience (children or adults)
  • A proactive, resilient and confident approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred — can be arranged if needed)
