About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Business Operational Support Officer (BOS Officer) to join our Children and Family Services. This is a vital role that ensures our social workers and frontline staff are fully supported to help keep children and families safe.

You will provide high‑quality, comprehensive business support across all areas of the Children and Family Service, including the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), Children in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, Leaving Care and the Youth Justice Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient and professional business support to frontline teams across Children and Family Services
  • Minute‑taking: Attend various key meetings and panels, take accurate and detailed minutes, and ensure a swift turnaround of meeting notes. Strong minute‑taking skills and the ability to work quickly are essential.
  • Support key statutory meetings and panels, including preparation, minute‑taking and post‑meeting actions
  • Act as the first point of contact for service users, responding professionally in person, by telephone and via email
