Overview

Childcare Solicitor, 3+ years’ PQE, Leicestershire, Competitive salary. An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join a Legal 500 firm. In this position you will take the lead in managing appropriate caseloads whilst supervising junior members of the team including solicitors, paralegals/caseworkers and trainee solicitors. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage appropriate childcare caseloads.
• Supervise junior team members including solicitors, paralegals/caseworkers and trainee solicitors.
• Provide expert advice to parents, guardians or CAFCASS appointed children’s guardians.
• Take ownership of all aspects of childcare work and provide guidance to team members and external clients.
• Work on duties such as legal aid/CCMS procedures, emergency protection orders, police protection orders, child protection case reviews, among others.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ PQE in a fast-paced legal firm within a Childcare Solicitor role.
• Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision.
• Strong client liaison skills, both written and verbal.
• Focus on client service with a commitment to training and development opportunities for internal teams to ensure best practice.
