Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 2 – The Nursery – Oxford

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join The Nursery, Oxfordas a Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship.

We are a private day nursery for children aged 2 to 5 years. Since we opened in 1992, the nursery has achieved excellent Ofsted ratings, and a longstanding high reputation in the Oxford area.

Our premises are in a beautiful Edwardian house in north Oxford. We provide children with a comfortable home in which to play, learn, and enjoy their time with us. There is plenty of scope for all kinds of activity, inside and out, with the nursery taking up the whole of the ground floor and garden.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;

  • You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Have a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Will work alongside our experienced passionate team in providing high quality care and a stimulating environment.
  • Ensuring the expected high standards of child care are upheld at all times
  • To demonstrate your commitment to safeguarding the children.
  • Support key members of the team
  • Housekeeping, setting up the day and clearing away at the end of the day.
  • All aspects of personal care and hygiene.
  • Preparing for the next day
  • Planning activities
  • Will grow into the role to become a key person where they will update and maintain the children’s records.
  • A passion to want to further their own personal career development and to further their position within the nursery. Training opportunities are provided.

Requirements;

  • You must be able to gain a clear DBS
  • Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent

Qualities Required;

  • Will have good energy and be a good team player, and be child focused.
  • Must be able to communicate well

Hours;

  • The Nursery is open 7.30am-17:30pm, Monday to Friday all year round
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week and shift patternswillbe discussed
