Job description

Aspiria Recruit have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated Child Care Lawyer to join one of Plymouth's most progressive and successful law firms. You will be working in one of the best Family Care teams in the area, who are members of the Law Society’s Children Panel, meaning they have the experience to deal with all matters of Children’s Law. The successful candidate will be working alongside one of the Partners in the team, who has been recognised as a leader in her field by Chambers & Partners since 2011 and helping advise clients through what can be a really difficult time and therefore will be someone who listens and understands the sensitivities. The firm are looking for someone who ideally has a minimum of 1 year PQE.

Responsibilities include:

  • Care proceedings
  • Special Guardianship
  • Child arrangement order
  • Parental Responsibility

Skills & Experience sought:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and legal technical skills
  • Well-developed professional and interpersonal skills
  • Ideally looking for a minimum of 1 year PQE or someone with an understanding of the Children's Law
  • Empathetic approach and a good listener
