Band 8 D £107,655 – £112,264 per annum (NHS)

Plus Distance Island Allowance £1,459 (NHS)

36 hours per week

£107,177 – £110,471 (CNES)

Permanent Position

Western Isles Integration Joint Board (IJB) is responsible for planning and commissioning a range of community health and social care and hospital services for the local population. The Chief Officer is accountable to the IJB for planning, and developing transformational and strategic options/choices, and following decision making ensuring agreed direction to parent bodies and commissioning and delivery of the full range of integrated functions through the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP).

This post will require strong leadership and to work closely with our Communities and Partners. Under the leadership of the Chief Executives of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (CNES) and NHS Western Isles (NHSWI) you will work with a diverse range of stakeholders to provide a single point of overall strategic leadership for the Integration Joint Board.

As an experienced Senior Manager, you will have a proven record of leading and delivering significant organisational and culture change and managing modernisation programmes in a large complex organisation with positive outcomes and evidence-based change. You will be educated to Degree level in an appropriate Health or Social Work qualification, Management qualification or evidence of continuing professional development.

You will have a high degree of knowledge of the national agenda for Health & Social Care, including developing innovative and transformative models of care in line with National Health and Wellbeing Outcomes and Health and Care Standards to address health inequalities and improve health & wellbeing across the community.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children and Adults (Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme – mygov.scot).

A relocation package of up to £8,000 is available if required. This post is politically restricted.
