Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Blue Arrow are recruiting for an experienced chef to work with our client on an ongoing basis in the south Birmingham area.

Working alongside the Head Chef, your role will be to:

  • Assist in the daily management of the kitchen team
  • Aid with menu preparation ensuring quality and freshness standards are met
  • Stock management and ordering
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head chef
  • Guide and develop junior chefs
  • Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure highest quality and restaurant standards
  • Keeping detailed records of wastage, temperature checks, stock levels
  • Coordinate with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing
  • Running the carvery service on Sundays.

Skills you will need:

  • Food hygiene level 2 or above
  • Food allergens
  • Previous restaurant experience
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Knowledge of current food safety regulations,
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Self motivated
  • Customer service skills.

Hours of work:

  • Wednesday to Saturday 11am-7pm
  • Sunday 9am-5pm
