Overview

Chef Manager, Education SE19 London £45k Term time only

Recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to join the team at an independent school based in South East London.

This prestigious independent day school caters for approx. 750 pupils aged 4 to 18 on a fresh food menu. As well as core feeding, the catering department also provides for ad hoc hospitality such as sport events and parents evenings.

Responsibilities
  • Fully responsible for the running of the catering operation
  • Leading, managing and developing a team
  • Liaising with the Head of School and parents
  • Managing all financial aspects including budgets, forecasts, P&L and reporting
  • Menu planning and managing dietary/allergens
  • Ensuring all food is to the standard expected by the school
Working hours

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks)

What we are looking for
  • a strong Chef Manager with a proven work history
  • ideally experienced within catering for schools or have B&I experience
  • a good manager – able to work well within a team as well as lead and develop
  • excellent culinary skills with attention to detail and presentation
  • exceptionally organised
  • strong in communication and able to liaise with pupils and school staff
  • flexible and willing with a positive, can do attitude
