About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of healthy, appealing dishes for residents and staff
  • Cater to individual dietary requirements and preferences (including allergens and modified textures)
  • Work closely with the care team to ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met
  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
  • Assist with menu planning, stock control, and ordering
  • Support special occasions and themed days within the home
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or Senior Kitchen Assistant (care, education, or contract catering background an advantage)
  • A passion for creating homely, comforting meals with care and attention
  • Understanding of dietary needs, allergens, and nutritional balance
  • Experience with IDSSI framework
  • Strong organisational skills and a calm, team-focused approach
  • A genuine interest in working with older people and contributing to their wellbeing
