The Copthorne Hotel Newcastle is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie who will be responsible for overseeing a section of the kitchen to ensure that it runs smoothly and in accordance with four star standards and guest expectations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mise-en-place for all menus, prepare, cook and present food as per kitchen manual, including staff meals.
• Prepare all dishes as instructed by Head and / or Sous Chef ensuring correct portion control as instructed by Head Chef.
• Operate and clean equipment correctly and safely, adhering to maintenance and cleaning schedules.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy at all times.
• Supervise Commis Chefs.
• Control the security of company stock and property.
