About Cafe Linea

Cafe Linea is a neighbourhood restaurant, bar and bakery set within an iconic 19th-century arcade on Duke of York Square. Inspired by European arcade cafés and bistros, we serve relaxed, produce-led menus from breakfast through to dinner and all those moments in between.

Alongside la carte dining, we offer pastries and patisserie from our on-site bakery, seasonal bouquets from our flower counter, and aperitifs on the terrace. Linea is a place for morning coffee, long lunches, late-afternoon glasses of wine, and candle-lit dinners.

The Role

We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and run a section with confidence, consistency and care.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys being part of a busy service kitchen, takes pride in good prep and organisation, and wants to work in a calm, well-structured environment. You’ll work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to deliver high-quality, produce-led food across service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run your section confidently during service
  • Prepare and execute dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Maintain strong organisation and mise en place
  • Work cleanly and efficiently in a high-volume environment
  • Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards at all times
  • Communicate clearly with the wider kitchen team during service
  • Support junior chefs when needed and contribute positively to team culture
About You
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie ready to step up
  • Confident working service in a quality‑led, high-volume kitchen
  • Organised, reliable and calm under pressure
  • Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen standards
  • Someone who takes pride in consistency, good systems and teamwork
  • Pastry experience is a bonus, but not essential
