Overview

Our Marketing team is the driving force behind the creativity and growth at BDO. Marketing has a broad remit here with the main goal to equip the business to win. Teams cover most touchpoints of the customer journey, including a national advertising campaign, the launch of a new firm‑wide sales planning process, and the implementation of new digital marketing tools. You’ll be supported to build your career, while also being yourself in the office. You’ll be rewarded with a great work‑life balance and a sense of purpose as you help the firm succeed by staying ahead of market trends, implementing your ideas confidently, and collaborating with a range of stakeholders.

You’ll be based in London and report to the Director of Internal Communications, working closely with Internal Comms Leads and the Business Readiness Lead in the PMO. Excellent stakeholder and people management skills are essential to support partners, operational teams and IC leads.

Responsibilities
  • Build on and deliver the strategic change communications approach for BDO's transformation agenda aligned to our business strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Communications team, Ops PMO and Programme Sponsors to embed a joined‑up change communications approach, ensuring that the change communications strategy consistently supports the business strategy and requirements.
  • Define and refresh the key messages and strategic narrative in support of transformation priorities to drive consistent and compelling communications across the organisation.
  • Enable change through clear, aligned and timely communications and engagement assets, including messages and briefing packs, intranet pages, newsletters, social posts and Q&A forums.
  • Provide measurable results to demonstrate adoption effectiveness and communicate successes.
  • Enable a culture of collaboration and establish behaviours to support business change.
  • Promote continuous improvement by integrating communications successes and lessons learned.
  • Develop change communications for transformation programmes and integrate change narratives into firmwide communications strategy.
  • Create firmwide communications materials, including leadership and employee communications, ensuring messages are understood by the wider organisation.
  • Build networks with leaders to support the transformation agenda and provide strategic counsel.
  • Ensure communications leads understand the transformation programmes on the go and support delivery of change communication initiatives with guidance and best practice.
  • Manage the Change and Communication Network with the Business Readiness Lead; oversee status reporting, risk and issues management; prepare updates for governance forums.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with other initiatives across BDO; foster best practice and innovative approaches to communications.
  • Liaise with the Corporate Affairs team to plan and deliver external communications for high‑profile change programmes.
Qualifications
  • Experienced and proactive change and communications professional, with proven expertise in leading and delivering complex change programmes.
  • Established expertise in employee communications across multiple channels.
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into engaging communications.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Project management experience to deliver work on time and to budget.
  • Expert in crafting multi‑channel communications programmes.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of best‑practice communication tools, technologies and approaches, including social media.
  • Strong editorial skills.
