Chair Member. Remote. Our industry-leading client is looking for a brand-new Chair to join their amazing board. This huge Ecommerce business has a solution-based product with ambitious growth plans for the year, aiming to become the international market leader.

Responsibilities
  • Play a pivotal role in increasing the effectiveness of the board and individual directors, both inside and outside the boardroom.
  • Ensure effective communication with the leadership team, acting as a sounding board for the CEO.
  • Run a quarterly board meeting, ensuring each member of the leadership team is accountable.
  • Support the chief executive and team, always acting impartially, ensuring decisions are made efficiently and effectively.
  • Review governance in the organisation to ensure all decisions are in line with legal and regulatory requirements, sitting on grievance and appeal panels when necessary.
  • Maintain independence, reflectiveness, and thoughtfulness in your approach.
  • Hold strong principles and be comfortable disagreeing with the group, employing a challenging and supportive approach to avoid conflict and ensure successful communication; build strong relationships with the executive team.
  • Provide invaluable guidance with a proven track record in this role.
