St Kentigern\'s Academy is a Roman Catholic secondary school in Blackburn, West Lothian, with a current roll of around 1,065 pupils. The school has a strong reputation for inclusion, achievement, and community, with staff committed to delivering high-quality learning and teaching and supporting all young people to achieve their potential.

The CDT department consists of five teachers, led by an Acting Principal Teacher of CDT and supported by a Principal Teacher Curriculum with responsibility for Art, CDT and HFT. The department offers a broad range of practical and creative learning opportunities, including woodwork, metalwork, graphic communication and design and manufacture. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting this work, ensuring safe, effective, and inspiring learning environments for our pupils.

The senior leadership team comprises the Head Teacher, four Depute Head Teachers and an Area Business Support Manager.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in order to support our CDT department.

You must possess a minimum of a SCOTVEC or equivalent qualification in a relevant trade is essential. Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work with others as part of a team or on your own initiative, and work responsibly with young people.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
