A leading public service organization in Coventry is seeking a Training Officer to deliver CBRN training for Home Office forces. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 training qualification, a CBRN responder background, and excellent communication skills. This role involves designing and evaluating training materials and requires British nationality for security clearance. Flexible working hours are expected to meet business needs.

At the National CBRN Centre, we bring together the emergency services to protect and prepare the UK against the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threat. We are looking for suitably experienced and qualified applicants to be our new Training Officer, to deliver the Centre's CBRN training programme to Home Office forces, other organisations and Partner Agencies.
You'll be based at our modern College of Policing site in Ryton, near Coventry, working Monday to Thursday between 8am to 6pm, but an element of flexibility is necessary to meet business needs.
Work as part of a small team, and in conjunction with the four thematic teams of CBRN Training & CPD, Capabilities, Operations and Performance & Development to support, strengthen and assure the police response to CBRN Terrorism. You'll contribute to the continuing development of the National CBRN Centre by designing, delivering, evaluating and quality assuring training materials to ensure the highest standards are maintained.

This role requires British Nationality (some dual nationalities may be ineligible) and a Security Check vetting clearance. You will need to undergo additional security clearance checks, with the offer of employment being conditional on obtaining all of the necessary security clearances. There are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries once in post.
