Job description
Overview

We are looking to add to our team of caring and compassionate nurses. The ideal candidate will be acting as a scrub/circulating nurse within the Cardiac Catheter Labs where patients are having invasive cardiac procedures. This post involves working in all areas of the Catheter labs which incorporates Cardiac Angiography / Angioplasty / Pacing and Electrophysiology. This is a full-time Band 5 Nurse position with potential on-call duties.

We work closely with an MDT of skilled professionals and encourage applications from candidates with a positive attitude and a background of caring for patients in an acute setting. You will deliver a high standard of patient care, ensuring a safe and effective service is delivered to patients and their families, in accordance with Trust Values/Objectives, Policies and the NMC Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors and Evidence-based practice.

Please note: staff recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across all Trust locations to meet service demands.

COVID-19 vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself and our patients from the virus when working in our healthcare settings. While vaccination is not a condition of employment, we encourage staff to get vaccinated.

Internal Candidates: staff employed prior to merger who voluntarily change jobs will be appointed to UHD terms and conditions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardiac Catheter Labs for a full-time Band 5 Nurse. This post involves working in all areas of the Catheter labs, including Cardiac Angiography / Angioplasty / Pacing and Electrophysiology. Once trained, the successful candidate will be expected to participate on our 24/7 on-call rota for PPCI. The hours of work are Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00 with one 10:00-18:00 shift per week. The position entails working as a scrub/circulating nurse within the labs. Previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.

We are a dynamic, progressive and supportive team who welcome individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. The position includes working within a friendly, supportive multi-disciplinary team. Opportunities for CPD are provided with in-house teaching sessions and, with experience, facilitated conferences.
