A UK higher education institution is seeking a Customer Service role within its catering team in York. This full-time position offers a salary range of £25,804 - £26,707 per annum. The Catering team provides a range of food and drink options across 8 outlets, as well as offering a hospitality service for both internal functions and external conferences and events.
The role will be integral to ensuring high standards of customer service, delivering hospitality to students and internal and external visitors across all areas of campus and contributing to enhancing the student experience through campaigns and promotions. The post holder will also be expected to liaise closely with the University Events team to support conferences and function which will include some evening and weekend working.
The post holder will be expected to be service orientated and have experience of working in a large scale hospitality environment as well as holding relevant food safety qualifications. Communication skills, with the confidence to interact proactively with students and colleagues are essential to the role.
