In this catering post, you would be responsible for all activities in the kitchen and its surrounds, including cooking, organisation, and supervision of food service.
Supervising staff working in the kitchen.
You must be aware of HACCP procedures and ensure all paperwork, including electronic returns, are completed and submitted accordingly.
Understanding dietary and nutritional needs of the residents within the sheltered housing kitchen.
Duties may also include transporting and serving meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (such as washing up, setting up, and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen and its surrounds.

Jubilee Grove Sheltered Housing - Working 21 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a 52-week contract, working as required between 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.

This work involves ensuring residents are provided with meals as required. Training on in-house systems will be provided. Working towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate will be essential once in post.

The Person
Do you have catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent?
Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in post.
Before confirming your appointment, you will need to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
