Responsibilities
  • Assist the chef with food preparation and work with the catering team to ensure delicious home‑cooked meals are prepared for residents.
  • Independently prepare hot meals and sandwiches for residents.
  • Load and unload the dishwasher; wash up equipment unsuitable for dishwashers.
  • Clean kitchen and equipment; collect and distribute crockery from/to the care floors.
  • Clear tea trolleys where applicable; empty kitchen rubbish and keep areas clear of refuse.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Carry out reasonable tasks as directed by the Senior Chef/Chef.
  • Ensure that the nutritional needs of residents are met and ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy and Regulations.
