Catering Assistant

Location: UHI Perth, Crieff Road, Perth, PH1 2NX
Contract: Permanent | Equated Contract (36 working weeks per year)
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 2:30pm
Salary: £12.60 per hour (equated)

Are you a friendly and reliable individual with a passion for customer service and a hands-on approach to work? We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our dedicated catering team at UHI Perth.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Serving customers in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Assisting with basic food preparation in line with hygiene and safety standards.
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen and dining areas.
• Handling cash and card payments accurately and responsibly.
• Supporting the wider catering team in daily operations across various outlets on campus.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous catering or food service experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good numeracy skills for handling payments and till operation.
• A strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
• A flexible approach and willingness to work across different campus outlets as required.
