We have an opportunity for you to join North Yorkshire Council working at one of our schools,Maybury Primary school, Hull, East Yorkshire, as a Catering Assistant.
As part of our catering team, you will be performing a variety of tasks to help prepare tasty, nutritious meals from locally sourced fresh produce.
As a Catering Assistant your role will be to support the Cook/Catering Manager in delivering an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety.
On a daily basis you will be setting out and clearing away dining furniture, serving meals to students and staff, washing up and cleaning the kitchen and dining room.
You will be a valued member of our friendly team who is reliable, dependable and committed, working from 12.15pm to 13.15pm, totalling to 5 hours per week over 5 days.
You will work term time weeks only; however, you will receive equal monthly payments throughout the year.
You will be paid £12.65 per hour, in addition to annual holiday and Bank Holiday entitlement. Occasional overtime may be available to cover absences within the kitchen and other local schools.
