Job description

As a Catering Assistant / Barista with ISS UK, you will be at the forefront of delivering a world-class service, positively influencing each customer's day.

As a key member of the catering team, you will support the Chef Manager in delivering exceptional food and beverage services. This role focuses on providing a welcoming front-of-house experience, preparing and presenting food and drinks (including barista duties), and ensuring our customers feel well looked after in a clean, organised, and friendly environment.

The Role

1. Deliver excellent customer service at the front of house, serving food and beverages professionally.
2. Operate coffee machines and prepare high-quality barista-style drinks.
3. Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of counters, service areas, and dining spaces.
4. Restock and display food and drink items attractively and efficiently.
5. Support with general cleaning duties, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met.
6. Respond to customer queries and requests in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner.
7. Keep storerooms and work areas tidy, clean, and well-organised.
8. Demonstrate strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive, and approachable attitude.
9. Have experience working in a customer-focused environment.
10. Be a team player with the ability to take initiative when needed.
11. Remain calm, adaptable, and perform well under pressure.
12. Be quick to learn with good attention to detail.
13. Previous experience in catering, food service, or barista roles is desirable.
