Job summary

A leading UK independent school is seeking a Casual Netball Coach starting January 2026. You will be responsible for coaching up to five afternoons a week in a busy PE and Games department. Ideal candidates will have a proven coaching record, enthusiasm for sports, and the ability to work effectively with students and staff. Remuneration is £34.00 per hour. Flexible working, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

Leicester Grammar School is one of the UK’s top-performing co‑educational HMC independent day schools. We are looking to appoint inspiring and enthusiastic Self‑Employed Netball Coach(es) to support our high‑profile extensive PE and Games department from January 2026. The successful candidate will have a proven record of coaching Netball to a high standard and help lead the development and delivery of our netball programme. A positive approach to the development of school sport, the ability to work as part of a team, and a willingness to participate fully in a busy, successful independent school are essential. This position will involve coaching up to five afternoons a week through the netball season.

Remuneration: Hourly rate for Netball Coach is £34.00 per hour.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • England Netball Level 1 or Level 2 qualification
  • A proven track record of success as a Netball coach
  • Ability to umpire to a good standard
  • Model and promote good manners and an understanding of the needs of pupils of all abilities
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with pupils, other professionals and parents
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a range of audiences, such as pupils, colleagues and parents
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to follow instructions, policies and procedures
Personal Qualities
  • Enthusiasm for your sport
  • Willingness to work flexibly according to the fluctuating demands of the sport, including occasional evenings and weekend fixtures
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaboratively across the school
