The Hope & Anchor is a beautifully refurbished riverside restaurant with rooms, offering warm hospitality, fresh seasonal food, and a relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Ross-on-Wye. We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Housekeeping Team Member to join our growing team and help us deliver exceptional stays for our guests.

The Role

As a Housekeeping Team Member, you will play an essential part in creating a welcoming, spotless, and comfortable environment across our guest rooms and public areas. You’ll take pride in high standards and enjoy being part of a supportive, hands‑on team.

Your responsibilities include:

• Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to a high standard
• Maintaining cleanliness across communal areas
• Replenishing linens, towels, toiletries, and supplies
• Reporting maintenance issues promptly
• Working efficiently to daily room listsEnsuring excellent presentation across the property

What We’re Looking For

• A positive attitude and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to help where needed
• Previous housekeeping experience is helpful but not essential—full training provided

Hours & Pay

The Hope & Anchor is a beautiful riverside pub, restaurant & inn nestled in the heart of Ross-On-Wye with multiple dining options for customers including a traditional pub bar and a modern cocktail bar, two restaurants, a riverside hut serving those on the go, and a spacious garden with outdoor seating including a Bandstand and all-weather tent area, both of which can house entertainment. We also have 12 beautiful recently refurbished riverside en‑suite rooms available, with breakfast included and served in the pub.
