About the Role

The Victoria Theatre is one of Yorkshire’s premier arts venues within Public Services of Calderdale Council, hosting a varied programme from comedy to music and theatre, as well as local Amateur Dramatic Societies and community groups.

We are looking to recruit bar staff to work on a casual basis to cover evening, weekend, and occasionally day‑time shifts on a rota basis, as dictated by performances at the theatre.

Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service to visitors, maintaining high‑quality drinks service, ensuring general upkeep and cleanliness of the department, and playing a key role in safety procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Excellent customer service, sales and communication skills.
  • Numerate.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Polite and friendly disposition.
  • Commitment to high standards with the ability to work unsociable hours, sometimes at short notice.
  • Previous experience in a hospitality environment/bar work is desirable.
  • Cand­itates must be able to move between different levels of the venue using stairs.
  • Post holder must be aged 18 or over.
  • Internal at risk or redeployee applicants will be seen in the first instance.
