A leading housing repair service in Spennymoor seeks a skilled Carpenter for a full-time permanent role. You will be responsible for high-quality carpentry repairs and maintenance in occupied properties, ensuring safety and functionality for residents. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in domestic carpentry and strong problem-solving skills. Competitive salary up to £35,349.75 per annum, plus benefits including a company van and fuel card.

We’re currently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team, supporting a busy responsive repairs contract in Sedgefield. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing properties, helping ensure residents’ homes are safe, functional, and well maintained.
You’ll be responding to a variety of day-to-day repair requests, including tasks such as replacing internal doors, repairing skirting boards and architraves, fitting kitchen units, and completing general finishing works. No two days are the same, and your ability to work efficiently, solve problems on-site, and provide excellent customer service will be essential.
With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to raising standards in social housing, this is a great opportunity to be part of a team that’s making a meaningful impact in the community. We’re looking for someone experienced in domestic carpentry, confident working in occupied homes, and committed to getting the job done right the first time.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
