Overview

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and practical individual to join our caretaker team and support the smooth running of Clevedon Community Centre.

The successful candidate will be someone hands‑on, proactive and able to work independently and happy to work by themselves. Approachable, dependable, self‑motivated, and trustworthy. You should have good people skills and be capable of working independently to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Site Presence – Opening and/or locking up, supporting the overall security and safety of the building, acting as duty cover on site during evening hires and events. On occasion this can include late night finishes.
  • Hall and Room setup – Preparing rooms in Sunhill House and Princes Hall for bookings and events, setting up chairs and tables.
  • Cleanliness – Supporting the cleaning team and ensuring the tidiness of the premises.
  • Maintenance & Repairs – Carry out minor maintenance & DIY tasks.
  • Working Hours – Tuesday & Wednesday evenings from 5pm and alternating Friday evenings, Saturday & Sunday depending on bookings. Contracted to 14 hours per week involving variable daytime/evening/weekend hours. Additional hours will be available/required to cover busy periods.
Pay and Benefits

Renumeration: £12.48 per hour
