Job summary

Care Worker / Personal Assistant

Location: Strathblane ( rural area with limited bus service )

Hours:

  • One weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday), 3–7 hours between 10am - 5pm (agreed at hiring)
  • Optional: every second Monday afternoon, if desired

Hourly rate: £12.60

Description
  • Basic personal care and assisting the person to complete everyday tasks
  • Food preparation and simple home cooking
  • Assisting the person to complete general housework
  • Any other task commensurate with the role of Personal Assistant
Requirements
  • Previous care experience desirable but not essential
  • Ability to follow a rota carefully, work slowly and calmly
  • Attention to detail and a gentle, caring nature
Other
  • No smoking during working hours
  • PPE provided and used as appropriate
  • Driving Licence desirable but not required
  • Applicants must have membership of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) or be willing to join this scheme.
