An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Dermatology team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable person to join our team who is able to work flexibly in our busy department. To work as a member of the team, you will carry out direct care in support of registered nurses as well as support of the medical staff in clinics, assist with the reception of patients, relatives and all visitors to the department, and ensure patients\' privacy and dignity are maintained at all times.

The successful candidate will start in the role as Band 2 and will progress to Band 3 once training is complete.

Main duties of the job

Our Care Support Workers carry out assigned tasks involving direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will work as an integrated member of the team, assisting in clinics and with surgical procedures according to agreed policies.

You will maintain the patient\'s dignity and self-respect at all times and achieve a high standard of care.

You will be accountable for ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered and will constantly promote: patient safety, effective care and a positive patient experience at each stage of the patient\'s journey.

You should have excellent organisational, time-management and interpersonal skills and an ability to work within a team and on your own initiative is essential. You must be open to change and interested in your own personal development. You must have the ability to communicate effectively and be flexible within the department and have an appreciation of the principles of confidentiality.
