Contract Type: Casual/Relief

Location: Ty Iscoed Residential Home

Responsibilities
  • Provide care and support for older adults living with dementia in a dignified and respectful manner.
  • Promote independence and wellbeing and adopt a person-centred approach.
  • Support residents in a homely, warm atmosphere where people are respected as individuals.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care (e.g., dignity and choice).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; maintain confidentiality and respond sensitively to individuals’ needs.
  • Aim to achieve a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care within an agreed timescale.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexibly including weekends, bank holidays and sleep-in duties.
