Company Description

Home Instead has arrived in Thornbury, Yate and Dursley – and we couldn’t be more excited!

As a trusted, award-winning home care provider with over 260 offices across the UK, we’re proud to be named the Leading Provider of Home Care in the 2024 Leaders in Care Awards, and the most recommended home care provider by Homecare.co.uk.

With over 10 years of experience managing two successful Home Instead branches in Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, we’re now bringing our high-quality, person-centred care to your community – and we’re looking for compassionate, reliable and caring people to join us as Care Professionals. We have immediate need around the Dursley area, so if you’re located close to there that would be ideal, but we also cover Thornbury and Yate.

Job Description

At Home Instead, we do things differently. We believe care should never be rushed, and relationships should be at the heart of everything we do. That’s why our visits are always at least one hour long, giving you the time to provide truly personal, quality care.

Our Care Professionals are carefully matched with clients and introduced in advance, ensuring familiarity, trust, and continuity. At one of our other branches, one of our team members had supported the same client for over 10 years – something we’re incredibly proud of!

Every day is different, but your role could include:

  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Preparing meals and helping with daily routines
  • Assisting with medication and personal care
  • Supporting clients living with conditions such as dementia or those recovering from a stroke

You’ll help people continue living safely and comfortably in the place they know best – their own home.

Additional Information

Don’t worry if you don’t have previous care experience – our Care Skills Academy offers industry-leading training, mentoring, and qualifications to help you become an exceptional Care Professional.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive pay from £12.50 – £25 per hour
  • Paid travel time at £12.21 per hour
  • Mileage at 35p per mile
  • Free Blue Light Card for national discounts
  • Access to our Care Skills Academy — training, mentoring, funded qualifications and clear career progression
  • Wellbeing Hub with resources on mental health, menopause, sleep, nutrition and more
  • Regular, consistent clients and the time to deliver care you’re proud of
  • Recognition and reward — because you care for our clients, and we care for you
What We’re Looking For:
  • Warm, empathetic and dependable individuals with a passion for helping others
  • Regular availability covering either mornings, lunchtimes, tea times or evenings – part-time or full-time
  • Aged 18 or over
  • Driver with access to your own vehicle, as we cover a rural area
  • Some weekend availability
